Although I studied photography at Rutgers University, I am mostly self-taught. While in college I quickly discovered that I loved photography too much to do it for a living. I decided to pursue photography on my own time, when and where I felt inspired.
I would describe my style as moody, classic black & white photography. I strive to achieve a timeless quality in my photographs when possible. Some of the photographers that have influenced and inspired me include Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Alfred Stieglitz, Sebastiao Salgado, Richard Avedon and Anton Corbijn.
I work almost exclusivley in black & white, using a Nikon F4s film camera and natural light.
Samples of my work are available in the portfolio section.
